Navigating PR Recognition & Award Nominations - An IIE Rosebank College Alumna's Journey

Rebecca, a passionate Public Relations professional, has a diverse background and a strong commitment to professional growth. Born in Johannesburg, she attended primary schools in Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, and Limpopo before matriculating in Johannesburg. After a gap year as a sales agent, she enrolled at IIE Rosebank College for a Diploma in Public Relations, where her education intersected with her entrepreneurial aspirations.

Rebecca's dedication and expertise have earned her nominations for the Top 16 Youth Owned Brand Awards and the She Awards Africa. In 2018, she was freelancing professionally, supplementing her experience with short courses on platforms like Google and LinkedIn. In 2019, she founded Lucrative Communications, a PR agency that bridges brands with their communities through compelling storytelling. Rebecca's commitment extends beyond her agency, mentoring and collaborating with 15 students and graduates from various South African academic institutions.

The digital PR focus at IIE Rosebank College boosted her visibility and outreach. A memorable excursion to the SABC provided invaluable networking opportunities. Rebecca's story is a testament to determination, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in the field.
